If you are pregnant, it is very important that you see a medical professional. Also remember that abortion is not legal in all parts of the world.

The loss of an embryo or fetus either spontaneously (miscarriage) or induced (when a pregnancy is terminated on purpose) before 20 weeks. After 20 weeks, the spontaneous loss of a fetus is called a stillbirth. - From What to Expect

Abortion is a touchy subject.

  • Pro-Life Stance:  There are those who believe that to prevent a pregnancy from coming to completion is murder, and more specifically the murder of an innocent child.  To them an abortion is like a mother throwing her own child off a bridge. They see the mother as evil and the doctor who helps as a mass murderer.
  • Pro-Choice Stance: Then there are others who believe that what ever the stage of life of a child in the womb,  it doesn't matter.  The child is inside the mother, not the other way around. What ever rights the child has, the mother's rights outweighs them.  Her life and her health are more important than that of the child she is carrying.
  • Moderate Stance:  There are those who believe that a child isn't truly a child until specific things happen (movement, emergence from the womb, breathing etc) and so it is not murder.  They believe that every child who enters this world should be loved and wanted and cared for and that bring a child into this world when you can't give it everything you need is cruel and ignorant.

As you can imagine, these beliefs clash. Our goal here is to share as many views as possible. If you have something you would like to contribute on this subject, we welcome your opinion.  This entire site is created by moderated submissions, and I won't put up anything which is hateful or nasty.  But I welcome honesty, even if it is painful.
